The cheapest advertised rate is not always the best fit. Compare the full stay cost, the time it takes to reach the terminal and the facility’s operating hours. A slightly more expensive option can be better value if it reduces transfer time or provides the parking type you prefer.

Self-parking generally means you park the vehicle yourself. Valet products involve handing over the vehicle and keys. Shuttle-based facilities may be farther from the terminal but can offer strong value for longer trips. Always read the exact arrival and return procedure.

The confirmation is the most important source for the parking lot address, check-in procedure, shuttle pickup point and any balance due. Use those directions rather than relying on the airport’s general address.

Enter the actual arrival and collection times and compare the final amount shown before payment. For an off-airport lot, include any charges for oversized vehicles, extra passengers, late collection or services you intentionally add.
Check the transfer before you choose an off-airport lot
A low parking price is less attractive if the transfer does not fit your flight. Check whether the shuttle runs continuously, on a timetable or only when requested; whether it serves every terminal; where you board on the return journey; and whether you must call the facility after collecting your luggage. Allow enough margin for traffic, parking check-in, loading luggage and the ride to the terminal.
Understand who keeps the keys
With many self-park products you park the vehicle yourself, but key policies vary. Some facilities keep keys so vehicles can be moved for operational reasons. Valet products normally require you to hand over the keys. If keeping your keys is important, verify the exact product conditions rather than assuming that every self-park lot works the same way.
Match the product to your vehicle
Before booking a pickup, large SUV, van or vehicle with a roof box, check height and length limits. Covered garages can have clearance restrictions and some independent lots charge more for oversized vehicles. Electric-vehicle charging is also facility-specific: if you need it, confirm charger access, connector type, fees and whether the vehicle can remain connected for the full stay.
Accessibility and special assistance
Accessible parking spaces and accessible shuttle arrangements vary by facility. Travelers who need step-free transfers, wheelchair accommodation or other assistance should contact the parking operator before travel and follow the airport's own accessibility guidance for the terminal. Do not assume that a general shuttle description guarantees a particular accessibility feature.
What to verify immediately after booking
- The facility name and street entrance, especially when the parking lot is off airport property.
- The arrival time requested in the booking and any grace period.
- The exact check-in method: license-plate recognition, QR code, printed voucher, ticket or reception desk.
- The shuttle or terminal-transfer instructions in both directions.
- The cancellation deadline and any non-refundable conditions.
- A telephone number to use if the flight is delayed or you cannot find the return pickup point.
